Is it free to play?
Open play is free to join. Leagues and tournaments have registration fees that vary by event. Pricing is always posted when registration opens.
Who can participate?
All sessions are 18 and up. All skill levels are welcome, whether you've never played before or have been playing for years. Nobody is going to make you feel out of place.
Do I need to bring a team?
No. You can show up solo and get grouped into games on the spot. Friends are welcome too, as long as they're 18+, have signed the waiver, and are open to playing with all skill levels.
What should I bring?
Water, sunscreen, athletic clothes, and a good attitude. We provide balls and nets. Wear appropriate court shoes or go barefoot for beach sessions.
Do I need to sign a waiver?
Yes. Every player must sign a waiver before stepping on the court. You can sign it online before you show up. [Sign the waiver here.]
Where and when do you play?
We run sessions at Oceanside Harbor Beach and other North County San Diego locations. Exact location and schedule details are shared through our Discord and Instagram before each session. Follow us at @surfandturfvc or join the Discord to stay in the loop.
How do I join a league or tournament?
Registration is announced on Instagram and Discord when it opens. Spots are limited so signing up early is recommended. You can also reach out through our contact page and we will help you get placed.
Can I join a league without a full team?
Yes. You can register solo or with a partial group. Reach out through the contact page or Discord and we will figure it out with you.
What is the refund policy?
No refunds within 72 hours of the event or league start. Cancellations made before that window may receive a refund or credit. No refunds for no-shows.
What happens if there is bad weather?
Light rain does not automatically cancel play. If a session is canceled due to unsafe conditions, players will receive a credit or a rescheduled date. Refunds are not guaranteed. We announce any changes through Instagram and Discord as early as possible.
